Artist Statement

I paint to discover and express my spirituality. Paint becomes a mechanism to release intense emotions and explore new sides of myself, which is why the process is the most important part for me. The beauty of art is its ambiguous nature; it lives, it changes, and it evolves. Most of my inspiration comes from my daily life: therapy appointments, my interactions with nature, conversations with peers, and how I process these experiences. I like to find beauty in all types of circumstances. My goal as a successful professional artist is to create artwork that appeals and can be enjoyed by all sorts of people all over the world.

Bio:

I am a 24 year old born and raised in Texas. I just finished my Bachelors of Fine Arts in Studio Art with a concentration in Painting. I recently had a piece in a gallery exhibition at Texas Tech University titled Peaches Delight, completed during my time at Tech. I typically use acrylic paints for my work, however; I thrive on experimentation and trying new techniques.
